Kaxixstam

Our approach

Learn to explain the editing choice.

Clear writing grows from decisions about purpose, readers, structure and language. Our workshops make those decisions visible and give teams time to practise.

Start with a document and a question.

What does the reader need, and how can the text help them find it?

Kaxixstam uses selected passages from your team’s work to explore practical writing and editing decisions. Participants compare options, discuss their effects and practise explaining why a change helps.

We distinguish a problem that affects understanding from a preference about style. This gives teams a basis for more focused feedback and a shared way to review future documents.

Four habits to practise

  • Read for purpose: identify the audience and task.
  • Locate the issue: name what makes the text difficult.
  • Compare options: consider meaning, tone and structure.
  • Explain the revision: connect a change to the reader’s needs.

Build the session around relevant practice.
